Back To It

Finally, my return to the ocean and surf! It was sunny this weekend so I decided to get my ass back into the water. It was great!!!!! Classic Cowells dawn patrol. I got to Santa Cruz around 7am and it was small but absolutely fun! Surfing that early in the morning marks the beginning of Spring, where the low tides are in the early morning instead of the late afternoon. My first wave was a fast left, just beautiful, with my finger-tips dragging in the face of the wave. Just pure magic. The sandbar had diminished and it's back to the way I love it!

Snow in Them Hills

You are all right. I should give my foot a rest. The weather will be helping with that this weekend.I can't believe that there is a snow advisory out today for the Bay Area! The hills are dusted with snow and 17 has "slushy" conditions. Very rare here. No surfing for now. It's been a month since I last went, which a record for me.

My classes are almost coming to an end and spring break is around the corner. Perhaps I will find more time to blog in that time. I was almost considering putting my blog on hiatus and that thought is still lingering. I would visit all my reader's blogs, just maybe not post on mine. We'll see.

Hope everyone is having a great week. I will try to get pics of this rare snow day.

Long Week

Why does time seem to drag on at work after a vacation? I am so happy it's Friday and can't wait to sleep in tomorrow morning. Not a whole of things going on, just a lot of school work to do. I have an exam in Math next week, and one in Art History the following. It's going to be pretty nonstop. Gosh I haven't gone surfing in almost 3 weeks, maybe even a month! The weather is nasty here right now, rain and wind, chopping up the surf conditions and contaminating the water. Besides... I managed to crack the bone in that pinky toe. The doc recommend I take it easy for another week or two. I'm not one to just sit around and heal. Earlier this week I discovered I am able to put a inline skate boot on without a whole of pain, so I have been skating. I don't think I can quite surf though, popping up on the wave puts a lot of pressure on the foot. Doesn't matter anyway, the weather is my enemy at the moment.

Well here's to the weeks end!
